bobo gets lucky

The principal let me know that he question one of the kids on the bus (last Friday) and he confessed to ‘touching boobie.’
The more I think about this, the more ironies there are. First BoBo was moved up to the varsity team, but the two other ninth graders were not. Now Bobo is older than the other two, but that is because he flunked a class — he is close to flunking again. So the let him ride with the team and rides home on the spectator bus and makes out with the school sleazy girl.
What is kind of funny, to me, the principal interviewed BoBo. I think it was the only person or first person he interviewed. Now it might be because the principal feels like he has a good relationship with BoBo and could get honest response.
I love looking at the media coverage of the primaries. I guess you could say it is my interpretation, but from what I see is various people making comments about things didn’t happen. Like various people saying that one or the other clearly won. I also find that who is in the lead in the polls doesn’t really mean a lot — except to the pundits.
Right now they are almost equal in delegates. And if they say that Hilary is leading in the polls — we are talking less than 10 percent. The same is true the other way around. I think Obama is winning in Texas, but we are talking about a few thousand people one way or another. And overall about the same number of people support each.
Might be a snow day tomorrow. It started snowing this morning and it hasn’t stopped, isn’t suppose to stop until 7 p.m. tomorrow. These kinds of days are unsettling, everyone was in the mindset there will be no school tomorrow, but if there
My lesson on Boolean search worked well with the fourth grade, Thursday I will try it on the fifth graders and next week the seventh graders. I used a vin diagram
The Tigers beat a c0llege team, better than losing to a college team, but it will be better if they bet the mets tomorrow.

star bright

O I have to figure a way to not let star bother me. First of all I can honestly say she doesn’t do things to me to deliberately annoy me, she just wants a world to revolve around her and doesn’t think anyone should be annoyed by that. Let’s see what did she do today… She apologized for making me run to the lab to schedule her time yesterday —- IN A WAY that just reminded me she should have done it.
So I need to find a way to get past her.
Busy day, mostly because there was a two hour delay and I ended up over sleeping. What happen was I kept hitting the snooze, because I was too lazy to get up and reset the alarm. .Because I kept twisting, my back was sore at the beginning of the day. I had way too much snow on my truck to uncover it, so I walked to work today. When I uncovered it tonight, so I could go do my laundry, I realized at some point I had cracked my windshield and that will need to be fixed. ugh
I didn’t write a column for the newsletter, so I need to squeeze that in, something I wanted to do on Wednesday, but didn’t have a chance to fit it in.
Since I slept in, I am not so tired. Well either way it is after mid-night and I need to find a way to sleep

snow changes time, time changes day

We had school off, I think it was something we didn’t need to do, but it was Friday and we have snow days build in to the schedule. If we had school at 8, the snow had not started, and I think by three it would have been okay for the buses. Maybe not. The concern (I think) was the predicted freezing rain and sleet.
The great irony is I don’t remember being called. I woke to the radio and they announced no school. I eventually got up and called the person who is suppose to call me. She said she had called me, but even then I didn’t remember it.
I walked some today — I needed to walk into school to call the optometrist to cancel/reschedule my appointment
I listened to David Allen’s GTD CD — so I am back on that.
I forget if I mentioned this, but typing started on Thursday and worked well. The business teacher is kind of got his back to the wall, but ironically he doesn’t know it. He keeps doing foolish things. He is doing the yearbook and because the kids aren’t getting along, he has given up. He doesn’t understand, when you say you are going to be the yearbook advisor, you have signed up to be the person who will finish it up. They are past deadline and looks like they will be past a second deadline on Monday. But that is the kind of guy he is.
He said he couldn’t do the typing class, but while I was teaching it, he sat in the computer lab. Turns out it is his lunch, which I understand — especially considering what happened on Thursday. It just is kind of weird to be teaching the class a guy says he can’t do — then to have him sitting there watching you teach the class.
As soon as it was over, I headed to lunch. 1 p.m. is the only time I can go to lunch — the way the schedule falls out. Well that is when ’star’ has her evil 10th graders in there. I left and after words she did a little back stabbing. Hard to feel bad after I just watched the biz teacher watch me teach a class.
The Tigers Spring training starts in less than two weeks. Woooweeee. February 15, it starts and the first game is March 1.
I sat here too much. I tried to move around some to ease the hockey muscles, but not enough.
The great irony today is the fact that the BOCES tech guy has set up a ning, but he doesn’t go to it or use it. For example, the conference was canceled, but it wasn’t listed on the ning. It was on the listserv, but if you don’t get e-mail at work you wouldn’t find out — but I could have checked out the ning….
Gratitude (3)
- I am grateful for the approach of Spring training
- I am grateful for classes that go well
- I am grateful for not having to drive 1.5 hours in sleet (conference canceled.)

I am listening to the Pistons play and in the course of about 40 minutes I have heard a rodeo commercial four times. I am not thinking that basketball fans and rodeo fans are the same demographics, but then maybe the baskeball fans will go to a rodeo on a lark. I wonder how many people know what a ‘longhorn rodeo’ is, I’m not sure I do.
Hmmm McCain won SC. This might be the first election that I don’t care who wins. In the past few years it was a bit of anyone but Bush, but I wasn’t so enthused about the alternatives. I think I believed the attack republicans would go after McCain
The reason I thought this was the 2004 primary when devil43 did that. It is amazing that after the primary candidates can support each other in a run for the presidency, let alone be a running mate. Not just the republicans. I don’t that Obama wants to be the VP candidate with Hilary, but after the friction created so far in the primaries, I can’t image it at all.
I suppose this makes up for Mitt Romney’s win in Nevada, for McCain. I say that in making the race even. I think Romney is a bit too much of one of those candidates who will tell you what you want to hear. I guess that is kind of the definition of a politician, but he seems to switch his platform from state to state.
I know I do a lot of surface reading on the internet, but after searching for a while, I finally found out that he Democratic Primary isn’t until next Saturday. In the two or three articles I read they did not mention that. I popped through a couple internet/talk radio stations until one of the news stations mentioned this fact.
To me when the articles report on the republican results in SC, I would think the first thing they would mention is the Democratic Primary is next week.
I have been amazed how good the candidates look through these primaries —- appearance-wise. I can’t even imagine how hard it is to be running for the office of president. I don’t seem many stories about it, but I would be fascinated to read/hear what it is like for the candidates on a day to day
Take Mitt Romney. His hair is immaculate every time I see him. Not just when he is coming out to make a victory speech, but in all the dinners where he meets with the ‘common folks.’
And hanging with the common folks is kind of funny to me. If you live in New Hampshire I am sure you had a chance to shake Bill and Hilary Clinton’s hand. That is to say a former president has to work the stump up close and personal
Listening to hockey now. One of the things I think is interesting is the Redwings seem to have fans where ever they go. A lot of times when I tune into the play by play I am not sure where they are, because there is often cheering when Detroit scores. Maybe it is just the Redwings, but I don’t notice this with many other teams. The yankers and lately Boston Red Sox.
I have been having fun with graphics and animation.
Talked to my FWC last night. She was okay with the Fable that featured her. I thought she might be a little angry with it. I am nto sure if she liked it a lot, but at least she didn’t seem upset by it. I can see/hear she is pretty stressed by the whole deal. As you would expect.
Was suppose to be a snow storm today — but it didn’t materialize. I would have gone and done laundry if I knew it was going to be a nice day — instead I did nothing.
