can i ox

Working from my hotel room with te OX computer. Took about four hours to get here, which means I can get to see my schools lam-o play on Saturday. I feel kind of bad in that I really want my school play to be really really crappy. To set a new standard for bad.

well made it through the first night The Tigers won big, sweeping the yankers and coming back from a bad 3-run homer in the first.

Not sure if it is the wifi, or my little ox, but this is a bit of frustration writing in this room. I guess if I brought my desktop I would never leave the room, so it is good to have some contact, but not too much.

Of course, I am thinking in my joy of having a coputer, if tis isn’t saving it will all be for naught.

I woke up a bit early, which profices me with time to get organized. I had the trip planned for several months, but I packed on Wednesday and got directions on the day I was leaving…Even then I had to call the hotel a couple times with my cell to figure out where I was or going.

I noticed that hotels/service industry in their desire to be nice have lost the ability to communicate. They smile and listen to half the words. I mentioned to the check in clerk that their jobs must have increased with te advent of cell phones. Her response was: “yes we are, there is a bush checking in pretty soon.”

Maybe that was relevant to what I had said, but I don’t think so. I tried to explain that there must be people calling every block to find out where they are, or how I had driven by the hotel and had to call to figure out were I was.

“O well you found it,” was her response.

Okay give me my cookie and let me go to the room so I can listen to the Tiger game.

I guess nice goes a long way, but I would love to temper nice with communication. Perhaps that is my frustration with my job, kids have neither and ’star’ is only nice if you wait on her hand and foot.

This is enough, who knows if I can even post it..
