Warm out

Writing on the old, home computer — taking this from a post I made about a year ago called: “who doesn’t like blue flowers”. It was written in May, so I can hope we are only a few weeks away from flowers.
It is chilly right now — inside. Outside it is pretty warm, maybe 60. The woman across the street was washing her giant dumptruck in shorts and a t-shirt. That is a good sign, for sure… Suppose to be warm tomorrow as well, but cooling off on the weekend. I turned on the water and am doing the wash. It takes a bit longer via my home washer, but when you are sitting at home, it’s not too bad.
I bought some magnets at the dollar store. You throw them up and they chatter, sort of sounding like summer bugs. The first thing I did was putting them in my pocket with my usb memory. I thought I might have erased it, or screwed it up, but so far so good. The next thing I did was drop them in a dirt parking lot, and they stopped working. But after cleaning them off for about 15 minutes they are working again.
I decided I will use them with the fifth graders. Use them as a reward… if you are good you can play with them
The dilemma: I am at the college, until 8 p.m. when the library closes, but I don’t have headphones so I can listen to the game….. But I could! I went to my truck to get my cellphone earplug, but it doesn’t work…tothink I could have got cheap headphones at the dollar store. I was so hoping that by eight p.m. Tigers would be out in front, of course if Cleveland came from behind after I left, it would kill me. The Tigers have an especially good chance against the Indians in that the Tribe has horrible relievers and the Big Cats have really been coming on strong in the sixth and seventh innings.
Well my heart can start again, Verlander walked two guys, got a ground out, then intental walked a guy and then got the double play. Whew.
Super, for the last few minutes I will have headphones.
So not much more is going to go into this.

Two and then three

I’ve been diverted lately. Sitting around much on vacation and making way too many graphics. AND The Tigers are now on a win streak. Three games in a row and moved even with the Cleveland Indians. The Tigers have stumbled upon the Indians at the right time. The Tribe are probably at their worse right now.
The week heats up… sort of. I have a doctors appointment and a dentist appointment in the next two days, so I will be traveling to the home. Unfortunately there is a boil water alert there. It’s the small town craziness.… First I have to pay $27 a month for water I don’t use, but to turn the water on (if I canceled my service for six months) is $150. But the water system has had lots of problems… mostly because the infrastructure is old.
Here is the funny thing about that. 12 years ago the then mayor had worked up ainy day funds for several areas of the town. A guy ran against the mayor, on a platform that he could lower taxes. He won and lowered taxes —- buy using the rain day funds. And now the fund is needed and I have no doubt it will cost even more.
Not sure how I am going to find out if the Tigers are winning tomorrow or now. Not like the bars in the Adirondacks play a Cleveland or Detroit game.
so a couple days away from the computers — will I survive??
Gratitude (3)
- I am grateful for warm weather
- I am grateful for Pizza
- I am grateful for A sense that The Tigers might be as good as everyone was saying they would be.…
