losing

The Tigers lost an afternoon game today. the last 30 days have been miserable.
Quick entry tonight. I took a nap and ended up not riding my bike.
Here is an irony — as I wonder if I want to continue as a librarian, I just talked someone into going to University at Buffalo. She wanted to be a librarian and was posting on gather.com how she wanted to be take online courses. Of course she lives in Rochester (apparently that is where all the hot librarians live), so it made sense.
It it struck me today —- it is going to be an annoying year next year. When I was processing books I noticed the computer guy did not face the computers in the other direction. We (the technology committee, which includes the computer guy) discussed facing the computers the other direction so when I monitor them (computer guy does not), I can walk up behind them, before they close out their screens
I don’t like to disagree with the computer guy — he doesn’t want to change the computers. The main reason he wanted the students to have their hands on the keyboards when he is showing them html tags. I would rather have them not be playing with the computers when I am talking to them and showing them something on the monitor. The great irony is — computer guy is not suppose to be teaching anything….granted he is probably one of the smartest people in the school and could teach circles around the business teacher when it comes to html.
So all the things that I wanted to do next year, are being stopped and mostly by the principal that I think is really good. I might have to revise my thoughts.
