they just beat you down

I go to my computer at about 2:30 and there is a note on it from two of the troublesome ninth graders saying that couldn’t make it to practice at 4, but if there had been practice from 3-4 they would have made it. Needless to say it is like a comedy.
So when I sit them on the bench I will just say I responded to their note, by writing on their not.
It’s the second time they — mainly the one troublesome girl — decided hey couldn’t make it to practice, but I suspect they could make it to practice. In fact, last week one went and watched the boys play.
The Tigers game was rained out and they will play a day - night double header tomorrow. Because of a softball game I will likely miss both. The pitching staff is hurting, so it will be tough to win even one.
Gratitude (3)
- I am grateful for the fact the season is almost over
- I am grateful for the fact the play is going so well
- I am grateful for sleep
I have my pay coming for softball, so I even more excited that girls might quit and the season will be over.
It’s a shame that a few kids can make life miserable.
hopefully sleep can make my life joyous.
