Still tired, will try to hit the sack early. Of course when I do that I end up reading more…which I can’t really pass up.

I’m proud of my lessons for the 3-5 graders. I am getting them to do research. They will use books, encyclopedias and online databases. It’s intended to get them to learn how to do several things:

  • think about the different resources that can be used
  • use the OPAC to find books
  • understand copyright dates
  • Use the encyclopedia
  • Use the index of the encyclopedia
  • Use on line databases
  • Understanding how to cite resources
  • taking notes
  • I am glad that I have found something that kind of combines a lot of skills. I just to refine the end, where the kids take the info and does something of it.

tigers.jpgIt is still amazingly warm, 51 degrees. It has started to rain. Tomorrow it is suppose to cool off and then start snowing.

The English teacher will not be using my third skit in the winter coffee house. I decided to send it to a play writing contest at a href=”http://www.sunyacc.edu/” target=”_blank”>ACC. The dream is to get recognition so it can be said that the teacher turned down an award winning play.

Had a good tech meeting tonight. We looked the Audio/Visual needs and then the future of the computer needs. The structure of the meeting seems to be one of the things I have done the best…

    a blog with no name

brew.giftree2.gifI have fallen into that worse of all blog traits. Always posting with nothing to say. I used to write these kind of funny letters. I say kind of because they were funny for the people whom I wrote them to, but I don’t know if I would say they were lock stock funny.

Jeez, I am tired… it’s been how long since I have had a nap… Saturday… I hope I get one Tomorrow, or better yet bed early.

Did a little exercise, so I am ahead of the game a little.

    closing the house

    closing the house

I’m almost done here and I am beat. Fortunately most of the heavy things I have in my truck stay there — sand (winter/traction weight). I wonder if I have a hernia, my pelvis hurts when I lift up heavy stuff.

Just talked to the former owner of the house. He is moving back to the area. It seems like it would be a good thing for him to buy my house back, or at least rent it until he gets a bigger house.

I am hoping it only takes a half hour to

What a night, and what an idiot I am. I left for school town around 5:30 p.m. and arrived about 7 p.m. My landlord was still at the house. I thought she must have gotten a late start. So I drive around and stopped and listened to the radio, and then even went for a short walk, but she was still there after 9 p.m. I figured I am not driving 1.5 hours back, so I knocked on the door. She let me stay, which I kind of knew she would.

I should have just went up right away, but I thought I would let her get out. Then of course I didn’t bring all my stuff in, since I didn’t want to make it look like I was moving in, which I was — since I closed up the home house.

1starrb.gifSo I had to unpack today after work. And that was after I picked up my truck, which the brake light is still on, so I am still not right with that truck.

But all in all, I am okay — little sore from lifting — but pretty good. The house is closed and friends are dropping off the modem to the cable company.

so the only exercise was moving and a little walking and I am sleepy, two days with out a nap — how do I survive.

Weather has been so nice — perhaps about 30 degrees above normal and no rain for a change. I really fell of the play writing bandwagon though.

Speaking of which, no word from the teacher about using my script….o well. There is one thing for sure, I am pretty sure the way she has treated me would really make her pout.

    stretch and scratch

crash.gifMy cat watching is over. I watched a movie in the deal and ate too much French onion chip dip

I have an outline for the characters of the play, which is a good start, but hardly a great start.

I am still having a problem up loading pictures via MarsEdit

    I’m way distracted.
